APPLICATION 1°) Apply the primer SS 4179 immediately after the area has been degreased with a small brush. Remove any excess primer that remains. 3°) Apply sealant from cartridge with a manual or pneumatic extruder. Drying time is slow enough to allow careful filling between the grooves. Although once application commences avoid stopping until job is completed 4°) Use a paint scraper or an empty cartridge to imbed the sealant into the groove. The caulking material must not pass over the top edges of the groove. It is normal for the timber to be completly covered with sealant, the excess will be removed by sanding. 5°) After 3 to 6 days ( or more ), remove the excess sealant by sanding. |
